A Wilhelm Scream & Pears are opening for Descendents this weekend so count them out as well

 

What are the odds we get someone like NOFX, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, Lawrence Arms, Alk3?

 

I want to say I think Alkaline Trio is extremely likely. I don't think Larry Arms will play this year since they did last year but the others are also likely

 

That would make the lineup good enough for me.


Maybe some Glassjaw too?

 

Does Riot Fest have any corporate sponsors? That would rule out Propagandhi, I think.

NOFX, Lagwagon, and/or Alkaline Trio are all feasible. Lagwagon has been a long-time coming.

I could see mike shinoda playing

 

Would love some Glassjaw, Tiny Moving Parts, Shredders/Doomtree-affiliated artist.

 

I could see that, though I'm not sure where on the bill he'd wind up. I almost feel like he'd be in that Mike D DJ set slot... But as a solo artist I just don't see him being very high on the bill/having a high demand.

But maybe with Linkin Park not really being a thing anymore that's different? I don't know.

 

Just got an email from DO312. I think they just let it slip that Minus The Bear, NFG, and Bayside are confirmed for Riot Fest.

 

All three of them played last year, right? I’d be surprised if they were all back.

 

Correct, all 3 played last year. Both MTB and NFG will be playing the House Of Blues in May and June.

 

I got an email for Queens of the Stone Age and Chon. So yeah, I think they’re accidentally sending out last year’s bands.

 

I got Say Anything, NFG, and QOTSA haha definitely last years. Interesting the email came at all though... maybe the announcement is coming sooner than we think.

 

I got an email from Do312 saying Nothing More were just announced for Douglas Park for September 14th

Really strange that everybody got a slew of different artists, no? I got Nothing More, Built to Spill, Say Anything, Minus the Bear, New Found Glory, and Fishbone. Hah.

Glad they're releasing it earlier this year. I'm starting to get really curious...

Also: Does anybody else think they might have bumped it up last year (and moving forward) because of how "crowded" the festival space has gotten? I know Riot Fest is sort of its own beast in that there aren't many festivals like it (as a whole)... But By the time that festival rolls around a lot of folks are already committed to Lollapalooza, Bonnarroo, or any of a dozen other festivals. Kicking the announcement up to mid-April would give them a bit more time?

I got Beach Slang. I'm going to venture to guess this was some kind of odd glitch on Do312's part because ALL of these bands played last year.

 

For some reason I didn’t get any email even though I have a few from DO312 today.

 

Definitely thought MC50 was going to be at Riot looks like I was wrong about that too

Anticipation for the lineup is killing me haha
