do you really want to see PBC potentially butcher some of their older songs because he can't sing like that anymore?

 

I really don't think PBC have any pull at all, honestly. And this is coming from a superfan.

 

I think it would all depend on the Festival.

 

i don't think PBC would get many in the door that wouldn't already be going, but they would shoot to the top of my must-see list.

Polar Bear Club would play that side stage later in the day if they played Riot.

Like the same time slot Flats played last year.

 

Valid point, at Fest it'd be a pretty big deal.

Also I remember when I saw them on the 'Death Chorus' tour, Jimmy sounded alright. For the old stuff he most did half the vocals while the crowd carried the weight.

PBC headlining all three nights of Riot Fest confirmed. Night one will feature a special performance of the groundbreaking EP The Redder, The Better with a 20 person orchestra. Don't sleep, fam.

I thought they were done again but them playing Slam Dunk makes it seem like they might be down to do bigger stuff still

 

Please, God, I hope they do. I missed their reunion in Detroit and only went to the Saturday date of 2016 for Riot.

 

I saw them 3 times in 2016 and I used all of the energy I had in my body for a full month each time

 

I’d kill for Set Your Goals, also last year I saw more than 5 fireworks shirts on Friday and would love to see them at RF

 

It was a bit disappointing that he changed his singing style for Death Chorus but I enjoyed their farewell show despite this and their catalog is so great I'd be ecstatic to see them again.

Also a lot of their songs don't really require the super gruff vocals anyway.

Same weekend. Not a ton of crossover with Riot Fest, but worth sharing. Phoenix and De La Soul would've been cool.

you know what was an amazing, amazing time that Riot Fest should totally steal the idea of? Hoodwink. some of my favorite sets of all time were stuff like NFG doing The Ramones, Thrice doing Hot Water Music, etc. i fucking miss Bamboozle.

 

I would have been stoked if Gang of Youths were on Riot Fest.

We might be thinking of different Hoodwinks, but... Didn't New Found Glory do Green Day? Either way -- That would be really fun!

I was always bummed that more video of that Thrice/HWM set didn't make it on-line.
