motion city is 100% not doing it, justin is putting out a solo record this year

 

Yea I think Motion City will probably be back one day, at least to do something like this, but it's going to be several years still. Honestly I wouldn't even want them to come back yet. I'd rather them explore whatever else they want to do for a while. Very excited for whatever Justin is up to.

 

I think we’re gonna have to wait for the 20 year anniversaries of I Am the Movie or Commit for MCS.

I saw Smash Mouth for free at a Rib Fest in Chicago (not THE Rib Fest, a smaller one in Uptown). They played the hits and played a 20 minute rendition of Walking on the Sun. Literally. I left the festival during the song, went and got pizza and came back and they were still playing it.

 

i've laughed about this like three times over the last day

 

With Underoath doing Warped, they’re out for Riot. I would have thought they were locked.

 

They're not actually playing Chicago warped. They're probably on Riot Fest or Open Air I'd guess.

 

I highly doubt they'd do Riot again, it's definitely Open Air.

 

There’s also a rumor of them doing a fall headlining tour with August burns red and the word alive

 

I really feel like at this point there aren’t enough new bands they can pull that will excite me. I could make an absolute dream lineup of groups I’ve seen in past years, but I’m stumped for what 2018 will be realistically. I can’t imagine a reunion that will beat Jawbreaker for me.
