I can tell you the air here in Chicago reeks of a 2nd wave lineup announcement. It's gotta be coming

 

That's the exhaust from the air and water show you're smelling.

 

The neat thing is that soon we'll run out of weeks to expect the second wave.

The third wave will be here before we know it.

At this point I rather have aftershows and schedule instead of 2nd wave

 

At this point, I'd welcome any sort of update. The festival is officially less than a month away. No map, no day-by-day line ups, etc.

Maybe it's GWAR and the Aquabats, and they can't have them booked on the same day for fear of starting an intergalactic war.

Or maybe them posting that wave on a Monday means the Bangles are playing ("Manic Monday," right?!!) and that AQUA, Tsunami Bomb, and H2O will all be playing. Because waves. And waves are made of water.

I would take that wave. Especially since H2O had to cancel the nothing to prove show in Chicago and still haven't announced any rescheduling of that show.

 

Well All Time Low and the Maine are playing a Christmas show together in Milwaukee with the Wrecks. All Time Low is playing a Christmas show at the House of Blues with the Wrecks the night before. Which leads me to wonder why the Maine wouldn't just play that show too. It's keeping my hopes alive that they may actually end up on the mythical 2nd wave.

 

I would be pretty stoked about H2O, Tsunami Bomb, and/or Silverchair.

H2O's Nothing To Prove set was really great when that tour came through Boston... It's amazing what it does to the energy at shows when some of these older bands take some time off, start touring less, etc. It seems so much more fun for both the bands and the fans (see also: The Bouncing Souls, the Lawrence Arms, Alkaline Trio).

 

Still bummed H20 cancelled that weekend of shows and haven't rescheduled
