Now I decided to enter the free tickets sweepstakes from Howl at the Moon (it was retweeted on Riot Fest's Twitter) and it is probably just a typo but I foubd it odd that when I entered the sweepstakes the email said Riot Fest was in Grant Park. Once again I figure that this is a honest mistake but I figured I'd share

 

Probably just a typo on Howl at the Moon's part. The Riot Fest Twitter Guy said it would be at Douglas Park on Reddit about a month before the line-up came out.

Copneconic is a local band from Flint. They're headlining a release show in Flint for a comic that Jonathan Diener of The Swellers wrote, and his band Baggage is playing, as is Nick's band The Apology Tour.

Yeah I'll be a the show with a couple buds, can't believe it's finally this week! Driving down from Minneapolis on Thursday night and hitting up a Cubs game during the day Friday. Still trying to find something exciting to do that night (any suggestions?) We'll probably be running around the city before the show grabbing beers/exploring some of the places we haven't been yet, but after the show it would be sweet to grab a drink or something!

Awesome! Yeah I'm down with anything after the show honestly. I'm driving in around like 12/1 that day and hitting up a few breweries before the show. I'm staying at a hotel in Evanston

And it looks like Gman is only about 2 miles from the venue

 

Unfortunately I can't go anymore, or I would've been down. But definitely during the festival

 

The Riv is around 2 miles north of gman. We can take either the red line or Lyft/Uber to and from.

 

Now that Lollapalooza is over, it's officially Riot Fest season for me. I'm really really hoping we get more info this week.
