I'd imagine TBS is a lock but I really hope ETID is also a lock. Their set in 2015 was one of my favorites of the weekend Also them being sandwiched in between Bayside playing S/T in full and Against Me! was easily the best stretch of that weekend
and on the topic of the weezer crowd. FUCK THAT FUCKING CROWD. almost go into 6 fights trying to leave to go home
I have very little interest in Riot Fest this year. TBS again... It will be cool to see GWAR at Warped Tour just because I've only ever seen them at Riot Fest.
I keep hearing the original Smashing Pumpkins are locked to headline this. I swear I'll hop on a plane just for that.
I finally saw SP a couple years ago and it was a dream come true, but I'd be all over this with or without the original lineup
Zero, Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Tonight Tonight, 1979. I'm a cliche, I know, haha. EDIT: More than anything, those are the songs I LOVE by them. Cherub Rock is also tight.
2014 Riot Fest was the only one I attended and holy shit that was madness! Missed a lot of great acts due to interviews but I had my most successful interview with Frank Iero that weekend so it all worked out. I was some girl's Twitter header photo. How creepy is that?!? But yes, ended up getting a gnarly cold which I blame directly on Buddy from Senses Fail. The mud, bees and rain sucked. Running from any stage to the Rock Stage sucked. Being stuck in the mud for half of The Offspring's set was crazy. All in all, very fun weekend!
How is it too soon? Thy have tbs gwar and Andrew wk every year and there was a $20 jump in the base price for presale tixs between this year and last year so it's Someone big. Plus they have a new album out this year it makes more sense for them to play this then lolla
Yea but TBS, Andrew WK, and GWAR are all a lot cheaper and are not headliners. They're not going to have the top billed headliner come back 2 years later, especially when it's a band that doesn't tour frequently. Plus if they're releasing a new album, they might have their own US tour planned. Not sure what Lolla has to do with anything honestly. And price increase is pretty standard with any festival. It always costs a little more each year. Not trying to rain on your parade, but I'd be shocked if they brough back SOAD. I think a realistic top 3 is Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of the Stone Age, and maybe 30 Seconds To Mars (unless they end up at Lolla with Muse).
LOL at Dr. Dre. That'll be the day. I'll edit this to say that I could envision Eminem being a headliner. Not sure if Riot Fest would go for it or not.
Hah I know nothing about rap or whatever and was just trying to think of a 90s rap act that hasn't been there yet. Outkast...eminem?
