Under Soil and Dirt used to be one of my favorite pop-punk albums and I probably haven't listened to it in 3 years based on the lyrics alone.
I thought the Hotelier sounded good back in 2014. They had the fortune though of being the last act I saw before the wind chill dropped below 45 and I lost all feeling in my hands lol
I love TSSF, but I've never seen them live. I rarely hear good things about their live show on this site.
TSSF was so boring live. Every other band on the Radicals stage has been great. Sleep On It was a great surprise. I'm excited to see them with TBS now
Planning on getting there tomorrow at 12:30/12:45ish for Smith Street Band at 1:15. Anyone know how long the line was today around that time?
Thanks so much! I'm sure Sunday will be amazing, so I hope it is enough to inspire them. Did they say anything about a physical release of the doc or plans for more showings? Still kicking myself for not trying harder to go. Today has been fun, super chill. Hotelier sounded great to me from the front, but there was definitely some tension between the band when they were playing the interludes from Goodness instead of cutting them for time. Didn't give the best vibe to see that but I still loved the set.
Heads up that Smith Street cancelled their Cleveland show tonight due to Will and another member being really sick. RF is still on atm. Damn i really hope they don't cancel. The only other time I was gonna see em they unfortunately had a family tragedy and dropped off their tour with Restorations
Nothing about more showings, but I'm sure they'll make it available somehow... The one guy from the Promise Ring who helped make it said on the Washed Up Emo podcast that the goal as to license it via NetFlix or a similar service. So things are up in the air but I'm sure it'll come out somehow!
Hmm, I thought they sounded pretty solid. Considering how much the heat seemed to be getting to Christian, I thought they sounded phenomenal. It's been a while since I've seen TSSF. Started thinking I was pretty over them, but I saw their set today. Parker sounded awful on the older songs especially, but that Daughters comment got me fucking heated. Think I'm done with this band. It's about time.
The New Found Glory after show was amazing. Interested to see what changes NFG makes to their set. Sucks that Bayside had to cut some songs, but they still put on a good show. Radar State was actually really good as well.
The radicals and rise stages had relatively small crowds most of the day (In so much as it was easy to get a decent viewing spot all day) Nine inch nails was insanely packed on the main stage, we watched Vic Mensa and the went to NIN but couldn't get anywhere even close. I will say though that if you plan on seeing paramore tomorrow get to the stage early to get a decent spot as the viewing area is quite small.
ADTR's crowd seemed smaller than Mayday's, to be honest. Maybe because they played against Nine Inch Nails, but I was kind of surprised.
I'm still surprised Bayside played 4 TWW songs (I think that's how many I counted?) but either way they killed it as always. Me and the gf were exhausted and decided to head out after Bayside was done. The festival kicked our asses yesterday lol. Glad to hear NFG's set was fun though!
I left after NFG played Truth of Our Youth. It was like their 12th of the 20 songs they played. I'll fill in the gaps today.
