Don't ask what led me to remember this right at this moment, and it's probably unnecessary to correct at this point, but I was definitely talking about 2014 here. I also just realized that this is the first time since it moved outdoors it's been in the same location 3 years in a row. I know it was in Humboldt 3 years, but 2014 was a very different location in the park, whereas it's been in the same spot at Douglas with just a few minor layout tweaks. Hopefully this will stay as it's permanent home.
Looks like Fat Wreck is doing another Fat Music For Riot Fest People flexi 7" pack this year. Three flexis with two songs each. And apparently there's a "bonus" flexi with some Jawbreaker covers ("Want" and "Chesterfield King" -- guessing it's just the Lagwagon and Face To Face covers, but cool no less). Well, I know one piece of merch I'll be picking up...
I've launched a Twitter campaign to get Pkew Pkew Pkew to play All Star by Smash Mouth on Saturday night (why? Because it would fuckin rule) so feel free to contribute to this noble cause friends! PKEW PKEW PKEW (@PKEWX3) | Twitter
I was trying to book the flight to be as cheap as possible. And also work some time in to visit the zoo, get a decent lunch, etc. Just wish it could have me landing there at like, noon or something. Haha.
Anyone have experience with lockers or are getting one this year? Still debating if lugging my backpack around is worth it.
I've gotten one the past 2 years and am getting one this year. Highly recommended and very convenient. Not too expensive if you split it with someone as well
i hope paramore changes up their setlist up for riot fest because they arent playing a single song off all we know is falling on the current dates of their tour and are only playing 2 songs off of RIOT
I can't believe it is only two days away! I'm really looking forward to Jawbreaker! And it will be kind of nice easing into it with a pretty low key Friday. Friday 1:25-2:15 INVSN 3:05-3:50 X 3:55-4:55 Buzzcocks 5-6 Dinner and maybe some Death From Above 6:05-7:05 Ministry 7:10-8:25 New Order 8:30-10 Nine Inch Nails Saturday 12:05-12:50 RVIR (I might go check out Slaves, we will see) 12:55-1:45 GBH (and maybe some Smith Street Band) 1:45-2:45 Fishbone 3:25-4:00 Dead Cross 4:00-4:40 Bayside 4:40-5:30 Bad Brains 5:30-6:30 Larry Arms 6:20-7:00 Mike D / Gogol Bordello 7:00-8:00 New Found Glory 8:15-9:15 Streetlight Manifesto 9:15-10 Queens of the Stone Age Sunday 12-1:20 might check out engine 88 or Beach Slang if I get there early 1:25-2:10 Hot Water Music 2:15-3:15 That Dog. (Might go see beginning of say anything's set but not sure yet) 3:20-4:15 Bosstones 4:15-5:30 Menzingers/Flatliners (still haven't decided if I am just going to watch both of them or check out Cap'n Jazz. I don't like Cap'n Jazz as much but they don't pay as many shows so I'm torn) 6:00-6:45 Mad Caddies 7:00-7:40 (might go see some gwar or just go get a spot for prophets of rage and Jawbreaker) 7:40-8:40 Prophets of Rage 8:45-10 Jawbreaker
im a old school paramore fan. lol i only really liked all we know is falling and riot. ive only like a few songs off of everything else theyve done in total. ive never been a fan of them changing their style
After Laughter is so damn good! But I can see how people feel that way, surprised you don't like BNE though that's not too far off the old sound
Yea I'll be really upset if Paramore changes their setlist. I mean I know they'll have to cut some stuff, but I hope they don't play more from Riot! or something, which I don't see why they would. I expect it'll be largely the same, with 4 or 5 songs cut. Probably 26, either Forgiveness or Caught in the Middle, Hate to See Your Heart Break, Daydreaming, and maybe the Everywhere cover (although I really hope not on that). Set should be around 14 or 15 songs.
