Just wanted to pop by from the Chicago thread and congratulate you all on a great line up. Planes Mistaken For Stars and Converge... that's gonna be crushing and awesome.
I've gone to Chicago alone a few years, although I have known people who were there most of the time, just not with my group. It's very easy to make friends, and being alone just means you get to make your own schedule.
Okay, here's my personal list. First priority: Misfits Thursday Deftones Motion City Soundtrack The Wonder Years Against Me! Converge Touche Amore Microwave Will see if time allows: Death Cab Sleater-Kinney Underoath Bad Religion Suicidal Tendencies Lagwagon Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Tigers Jaw Somos Turnover
Riot Fest Chicago is literally 6.6 miles from my house, but I'm thinking about also making the trip to Denver to see The Misfits twice.
As of right now, this is my top 20-ish bands I'm excited for: The Misfits Deftones Jane's Addiction Billy Talent Against Me! Does anyone know whether there's parking available on/near the premises? Trying to decide whether it's worth it to rent a car in order to stay a little further away (more in the heart of the city), or if we should just stay close by and count on Uber.
Would they really be top row though? I can't imagine a scenario in which they are the top row band unless they're playing Decemberunderground in full, and even then they're still probably in the Bad Religion/Thursday row at best.
I mean get your hopes up even higher. They could be the ??? in the MCS row even and then we have 3 even bigger bands still to announce! But it would be cool to see them (I'm going to Chicago). I've never seen AFI live
I bought a single day ticket for Sunday and a plane ticket from Chicago to see The Misfits. Here we go!
Nobody that was added I care about. Still a great lineup. I don't really care about any of the headliners on Saturday though, hopefully there's a good after show.
