I'm planning to go! I went to Riot Fest Chicago in 2013 and 2014, then skipped last year. Haven't been to Riot Fest Denver yet so I'm excited.
With recent local changes in Riot Fest’s partnership in Toronto, the planning process and resources required in staging a fest in Ontario was no longer compatible because of the available timeline. While Riot Fest has fallen in love with Toronto and the province of Ontario because of all of the great music fans who have welcomed and supported us in these last few years, Riot Fest 2016 will only take place in Denver and Chicago. We have every hope that we'll be back in Toronto in the near future, and, in the meantime, we'll begin announcing the lineups for Denver (Sept. 2-4) and Chicago (Sept. 16-18) shortly.
Chicago and Denver. We’re excited to reunite with you this September. Stop by tomorrow at 9am CDT for the first of many announcements. Keep Your Eyes Open Tomorrow at 9am CDT - Riot Fest
Question for people who have been before: I'm flying in - is it easy enough to get around the area or should I rent a car? Probably going to check out airbnb options for a place to stay.
The Denver airport is surprisingly far from the downtown area, so I'd either rent a car or use Uber. ** I'm assuming since the Misfits poster says Riot Fest & Rodeo that it will be at the National Western Stock Show Complex again, like last year. I haven't been to any of the three previous Denver Riot Fests, the lineups for the last two didn't really catch me, and the first year the lineup was pretty solid but the weather and the distance made me back out at the last minute.
Is it possible to say "They said it would never happen" when the band were the ones who said it would never happen?
The flies are Deftones, people are saying the liberty bell is Ween, not sure what the diving is, definitely Bad Religion, people are saying the possum is Toadies, and the shoplifting is Jane's Addiction
Layaway tickets are now available for Denver. RIOT FEST DENVER - LAYAWAY - Tickets - National Western Complex - Denver, CO - September 2nd, 2016
There are several bands I'm really excited to see, but I gotta say I'm a little bummed to be missing so many good bands who are playing Chicago only
to be fair i posted that before i saw the whole lineup, just the abridged ones. the lower levels are better for chicago. midlevel denver wins though
