It is probably a little more likely now that Jerry has started to play all of static age and doesn't seem to require a family friendly show anymore. I'm still going to be doubtful though mostly due to the Jerry Only Misfits having shows booked in August.
I made this a while back. Now people who already know can check it out and scoff or raise their eyebrows or whatever.
Are we sure it's the whole lineup or just a few bands? And I used to get info but I've become too close (and generally don't care about secrets) to the group.
If I had to guess, tomorrow they'll announce the Misfits and maybe a couple other reunion bands playing both Chicago and Denver, then the full lineups will come next week.
I'm assuming we'll get more than just the Misfits if it's really going to be just the Jerry Only variation of the band. But if it's that variation? Then it wouldn't really be a "reunion." And certainly wouldn't be worth revealing/introducing as the sole band for the day. Even if it is the album. Wonder if they got tired of the leaks, people pestering them, etc. and have just decided to release the line-up one small bit at a time over the next few 1-2 weeks. Instead of doing the whole "It's coming!" thing. Just seems like a different strategy might be at play this time around.
I mean, I would prefer a full on reunion. I was just saying that I would still be happy with a full Misfits set from Danzig. I'm sure it is a full reunion though because when it has just been Danzig playing Misfits, they have never gotten to use the crimson skull.
This whole announcement doesn't seem to have grabbed much attention unless that's just me being a social media hermit.
Compared to some other festivals there hasn't been the ramp up in excitement when a pre-announcement like this happens.
