Here's SYG's setlist. I'm totally cool with that for Chicago and am actually hoping it stays the same
Yeah I wasn't expecting Walk It Off at all. Very excited to see that live. I think I saw them play both of those songs on their last tour before they got back together back in 2011 I think
Awesome to see Walk It Off in that setlist. I was afraid that track had faded into obscurity at this point. It seemed like barely anyone noticed it when it was released.
MCS setlist will probably be the same. I'm guessing they'll add about 3-4 songs, with them having another 15 minutes.
There's only one song on my hopes list that didn't make the set, but I am SO stoked on everything else they played. Can't wait to see it.
Some songs they didn't play that I really wanted were Children in Heat, Ghouls Night Out, Horror Hotel, Violent World, and Demonomania. But this was still so amazing.
Can anyone recommend any good record shops/general shopping places/food places in the city? We're walking around on Friday so I'm hoping to pick up some cool stuff. The only thing I'm 100% going to is Reckless Records, as well as getting a picture on the corner street they shot High Fidelity.
It all depends what you're looking for shopping wise. That street that Championship Vinyl was on has The Exchange (an "indie" chain record store), another record store (I forget the name), St. Alfred's – a great sneaker / clothing boutique and Buffalo Exchange - a second hand store. That's all on the same street. Other shopping: RSVP Gallery - high end sneaker / streetWear boutique run by Kanyes "people". LRDS (Leaders) - anther sneaker / streetwesr boutique. Boneyard - vintage "trendy" store. There's other places too. I just can't think of the, Some places we ate last time: A Piece Pizza (thin crust pizza. Fantastic), Lou Malnatis (I'm in the minorit but this over Giordonos), Kuma's Cafe ("death metal burger". Amazing burgers and cool atmosphere). I wish I could also say Hot Dougs but it closed. So laces I plan on hitting this time: Saved by the Max (saved by the sell), Honey Fried Chicken and Ricobenes.
If you're into books at all, check out Myopic Books. It's a block from the High Fidelity spot and it's my favorite bookstore in the world.
You should definitely try Lou Malnati's or Connie's Deep Dish Pizza. Another pizza joint I like is Medici's, they got killer shakes as well.
3 day passes are sold out. There are still 3 day VIP passes available. 3-DAY PASS - Tickets - Douglas Park - Chicago, IL, September 16, 2016 | Ticketfly
Depends on where you're staying. I feel like each neighborhood has at least one solid hot dog place. Worst case: head down to River North and go to Portillo's. I feel like it's generally accepted that it's one of the few chains that locals pledge allegiance to. Plus they're open late (midnight on the weekends) so you can grab some food after the headliners and hit up one of the very few cool bars in the area. Actually, I don't want to advocate going out in River North. Get your food and head out.
