Mark your calendars for September 15th! Emo Night before Riot Fest kicks off. Stoked to announce what's up, soon. If you were there last year you know it was a party.
Haha, I'm actually kind of relieved there aren't any after shows I'm crazy about. 3 days of non stop live music topped with more live music is just past the point of overstimulation for me. I'm always pretty excited to go home and snooze after a day at any festival come to think of it. Anyways, what after shows were ya hoping for?
None of these are official Riot Fest shows but here are some shows people here might be interested in around Riot Fest weekend. 9/15 - Andrew W.K. @ Revolution Brewing Tap Room (SOLD OUT) 9/15 - Stick to Your Guns, Stray From the Path, Expire, Knocked Loose @ Bottom Lounge 9/17 - Allison Weiss, Josiah and the Bonnevilles, Thin Lips @ Beat Kitchen 9/17 - Echo & The Bunnymen @ Metro (SOLD OUT) 9/19 - Such Gold, The Linden Method, Coastlines @ Subterranean 9/19 - Of Montreal, Ruby the Rabbitfoot @ Metro
They are doing two sets? I didn't get that impression at all from them saying it was the day their album comes out. Lol
How late do the headliners usually play for RF after shows? There's no way I'm missing this but my flight back to Texas is at 8AM the next morning so it's going to be rough.
I don't. Unless they had pushed the time back, scheduling it to start where you would have to miss Misfits would be the absolute worst.
My mom surprised me with Second City tickets Friday night so no aftershows for me, but still pumped af for Saturday. Can't wait to get my hands on that schedule.
Do want that TDEP after show like crazy Edit: Just realized I'm going to be in transit with shoddy cell reception when tix go on sale, I have to imagine that will sell out like instantly.
I'll be at work in front of a computer when tix go on sale on Friday. I can try to pick you up one if you want.
Trying to guess Chicago set times based on Denver and it's giving me a headache / anxiety so I gave up. I hope they don't overlap Brand New and MCS or my head might explode
Thanks b, i'm inquiring to some friends about it now but if no one wants to by tomorrow night i'll let ya know! you goin' for sure?
Seeing that lineup just reminds me how much better Chicago is. The overlaps don't look too bad either, although there are way fewer options to configure. MCS only having 45 minutes is atrocious though. Hopefully they have an hour in Chicago.
Damn SYG and AM! would kill me. A few other bad ones for me on there. I'm super nervous about Chicago schedule, but looks like we won't get it until about a week or two from now
As long as Death Cab, Motion City Soundtrack and Fitz & the Tantrums don't conflict in Chicago, I think I'll be alright. There's some other stuff I'd really like to check out, but those are my must-sees.
