Now that I am done with my summer music festivals, I can finally spend some time checking out the Riot Fest bands.

 

Listen to The Misfits! 12 Hits from Hell is a great starting point.

None of these are official Riot Fest shows but here are some shows people here might be interested in around Riot Fest weekend.

I didn't see him on the lineup but it looks like Andrew W.K. will be at Riot Fest with a full band.

Yep he's on there- playing on Sunday. Maybe he was a late edition and wasn't on the first poster?

 

I see him on there now. His name was lower on the poster than I thought it would be.

 

I hope the after shows will be announced soon. Looks like August 13 was the announcement date last year.

 

Same day that Warped Tour ends. Should be plenty of tour/show announcements!

 

I don't even know if I would go to any of the after shows this year. I would absolutely go for The Misfits, but I seriously doubt they will have one. Other possibilities for me are Descendents, Refused, and Thursday, but I think I would be content just seeing them at the fest.

 

Lollapalooza drew 100,000 people per day. What does Riot Fest draw? 60,000 a day?

 

I think I would go to after shows for a lot of the bands on the lineup. Death cab / brand new / JEW / Motion City / rumored TBS show are all bands I would be cool with leaving early to see.

 

I saw the Dirty Nil last week finally and you all need to see them on Sunday. I told them I hope they don't get stuck with the Menz' set time from 2014 at 11:45 AM lol

 

Same. Seriously such a great band I'm so excited to see them again

I was thinking yesterday actually and I bet they open Sunday haha

 

At least the Menz preceded the Bouncing Souls so there was a decent turnout on a main stage by the end of it. The Nil will certainly be playing a side stage, which is why I hope they can at least play at like 2pm onwards and get some more support, ala PUP in 2014 lol.

 

Anyone heard of or have any after show speculations?

Jeffrey Jackson So you guys going to be playing "Mutiny" at Riot Fest? Cause that alone will make me want to attend


Set Your Goals We don't have enough time at Riot, much shorter set, but it's gonna go off so hard, it will be worth hanging out for it (30 min. of non stop destruction)

 

Set Your Goals only getting a 30 minute set is pretty lame.

 

This will be my first Riot Fest since moving to Chicago. Should I expect any last minute ticket deals? I wanna get tix for my wife and I, but the price makes that a bit difficult.

 

30 minutes is pretty typical for a band at that level at riot fest.

 

I was hoping for 45.

 

There have not been last minute price reductions in the past. I would say your only shot at getting cheaper tickets is to find someone selling.
