That would be sweet, but the dream tour in this lineup for me is Jimmy Eat World / TWY / Laura Stevenson.
It does specify final SHOW where Denver says final SHOWS. Obviously Denver is before Chicago, but if they didn't have good reason to say that I doubt it would be so specific. Either way it means I can see then one more time before this tour is over!
Ok, time to take a stab at my personal lineup. This year's is skewed towards the can't miss, which is definitelya double-edged sword. ABSOLUTELY MUST SEE: The Misfits Morrissey Brand New Motion City Soundtrack Thursday The Falcon Must See (unless RF breaks my heart and they conflict with the above): Death Cab for Cutie Jimmy Eat World Descendents Refused Underoath Glassjaw Me First & The Gimme Gimmes The Wonder Years GWAR The Anniversary Smoking Popes Juliette Lewis & The Licks Tigers Jaw Somos Want to See: Ween Rob Zombie Social Distortion Nas The Specials Deftones NOFX Bad Religion Death Grips Bob Mould Tiger Army Meat Puppets GZA Method Man & Redman Leftover Crack Fucked Up The Dillinger Escape Plan I the Mighty Frnkiero and the Cellabration Basement Citizen Swingin' Utters Big D and the Kids Table Touche Amore Balance and Composure Turnover Brick & Mortar Off With Their Heads Laura Stevenson Microwave Worriers War on Women Hard Girls Would Catch if Timing Allows: Pierce the Veil All Time Low (eh?) The Hives The Hold Steady Dee Snider Andrew W.K. Billy Talent Highly Suspect The Toasters Set Your Goals Diarrhea Planet Deal's Gone Bad The Dirty Nil Bad Cop/Bad Cop Yep, I'm screwed. 67 bands after the first wave that I would watch in some fashion. I think this is a record. There are way more that I would classify as must see than not, but those top 6 are what I absolutely need to not conflict and I will be happy.
Lol was just curious if he made the jump to Chorus. Plus the way you were making distinctions of who to see reminded me of him.
I will try harder in the future. His negativity always bummed me out. I'm just pretty obsessive and like to get my head around the lineup as early as possible. I've done one similar to this for the past two years at least, and in my head before I joined the forums. Lol. I can't wait until we can put our lineups on the site again.
Damnit I got friends who already bought their tickets and are trying to convince me to join. On the fence cuz with airfare and hotel this'll cost at least $600, and I'm already doing Govball and FYF this year. If I'm going I would be most pumped for: Morrissey, Beck, DCFC, Deftones, Thursday, Method Man & Redman (!) and Brand New.
Okay so I guess I'm going to be that guy. I'm not THAT pumped for this lineup. For these type of festivals I try and find really rare acts that I can't see normally + hodge podge of my favorite punk acts. Rob zombie deftones aren't my style and oddly enough I'm not that into social distortion. At this point id be going for misfits and Billy talent and the last motion city show. I need to know that other headliner. I'm not saying there aren't other things on this lineup that I love (nofx, me first, big d, descendents, jew) but I've seen them a bunch of times. Fitz and the tantrums sucks haha I don't even get the point of having an act like that. I feel like there are more "riot" indie acts than them.
I am going to be selling my ticket for less than the around $200 they are now. If anyone is interested, please message me.
Good chance I'm back home for this so I want I want I want. JEW, Brand New, Deftones, Bad Religion, Underoath, Thursday, the Hold Steady, Glassjaw, Andrew W.K., Billy Talent, Fucked Up, Tigers Jaw, Basement, Diarrhea Planet, Off With Their Heads, Laura Stevenson, Microwave, Social D, Descendents and THE DIRTY NIL are all bands I would be absolutely stoked to see that I haven't before Dillinger Escape Plan, Hard Girls, Turnover, Somos, B&C, Touche Amore, I the Mighty, The Wonder Years, and DEAL'S GONE BAD all bands I would absolutely love to see again. Hot damn this is a fantastic lineup even without all the huge acts I haven't mentioned.
Here is my long list. I'm pretty happy with this lineup. This is impressive. If I was going, this would be my top 10 1. Ween 2. Misfits 3. Underoath 4. Brand New 5. The Anniversary 6. Thursday 7. Social Distortion (according to their Facebook, they are playing White Light, White Heat, White Trash in full) 8. The Dillinger Escape Plan 9. Rob Zombie performing Astro Creep 2000 10. Motion City Soundtrack Lots of bands here I love, but I mostly stuck to the ones who either don't tour much, recently reunited, are about to be done, or are playing a certain album in full. I could catch NOFX, Deftones, Bad Religion, The Wonder Years, Citizen, and Plague Vendor pretty regularly on their own tours.
