unexpected but not surprising. Warner Bros Discovery keeps mentioning Rick and Morty as one of the big pillars of the IP they own along with things like DC and Game of Thrones, so i figured they would find ways to get more Rick and Morty stuff on HBO Max

 

Are Justin Roiland/Dan Harmon not involved as writers?

 

They weren't involved with any of the shorts. The humor doesn't really translate, especially irony. iiirc it was mostly played straight, scientist-and-kid astro boy plot

I also don't think i've ever seen nihilism played comedically in an anime lol

weird seeing another wendy’s R&M commercial after hearing about e. coli outbreaks on that restaurant

 

Solid premiere, I should have rewatched the last episode because I kind of forgot what happened but very interesting hook for the season

 

Damn I was really hoping this would be on HBO or Hulu today

 

Premiere was a lot of fun, though I've forgotten some of the more serialized elements of the show. Might have to do a series rewatch.

Newest episode was fantastic, felt like an instant classic. Both plotlines hit perfectly for me

thought that was the best episode since the first 3 seasons

 

this has been the most consistent run of episodes in years, i'm really excited about this show again

 

Last week's episode of with Beth and her clone was my favorite in years. I haven't laughed out loud at this show like that in a long while. Excited to check this new one.

 

Another great episode, this season has been excellent so far.
