A show produced by the creator of one of my top 5 favorite sitcoms, starring two actors from my other top 5 favorites? Hell yeah
I think I need to watch it again, I think I was too tired to fully "get" half of the premise lol I did laugh at a ton of the dialogue though
why is lesbian part of her job title Matrix Space Frasier, also does Frasier exist in the Rick and Morty Universe he's Summer's dad irl
Morty’s Bechdel Test story was pretty on-the-nose commentary on male writers commonly failing to create compelling and meaningful stories for female characters, but it was really funny nonetheless
Because of how quickly this show moves from one joke to the next, there are always at least a few that go completely over my head. It's what makes this show more rewarding on rewatches, though.
it’s definitely valid criticism of this show as well, I just took it as them acknowledging their own limitations as a show run by two white dudes (although the writing staff does have a bunch of incredibly talented women on it and the show has gotten better at handling stories with Summer and Beth over the course of its run).
I loved how this episode divided the fandom on the subreddit. They really are upset about laughing at the idea of how much they want the Evil Morty and Tammy storylines continued
