It wasn’t even entirely clear that it was an Akira reference until they explicitly said it in the trial, and then I laughed at the thought “oh yeah that is like Akira” lol

and by the time he turned into the monster it was like yep

 

But like you absolutely should see Akira

 

Also laughed at the newscaster calling him “an unstoppable science fiction boy”

 

for whatever reason this probably got the biggest laugh out of me. Great episode.

 

Yeah I've never heard of Akira tbh and loved this episode

Just learned that season 3 is apparently uncensored on Hulu so that's pretty sweet. Lots of "fucks" thrown left and right in the season premiere lol. I feel like the other two seasons were censored tho?

 

Great premiere. Lost it at Jerry pronouncing Akira.

I read some interesting fan theories that the reason Rick encountered so many fascist universes could be due to Evil Morty becoming the fascist dictator of the Citadel of Ricks. Sounds interesting, or it could just as easily be a throwaway joke.

I know this is minor considering he's done war crimes and all but Rick's secret space toilet definitely doesn't have a sink gross

It showed Rick washing his hands tho. Some sort of small waterfall/stream sink :P

Overall, pretty disappointing episode tbh. Literally an episode of toilet humor lol, idk I just didn't find myself laughing much

 

The Beth/Summer story was really weak imo but I liked the rest a lot

 

This one was fine. Weaker than the season premiere but I kinda like that they tried to shake up the character pairings a bit. The choreography in that robot war scene of Rick killing the lizards was pretty cool, and Morty/Jerry’s reaction to Glootie doing that spin thing got a real good chuckle from me.

Also did anyone notice in the post credits scene, that bully that Morty sent up into the sky last week (ah the air’s getting thin!) was shown on a milk carton as a missing kid

Truckula , a Dracula Transformer, was an incredible visual gag
oh no that's really Elon Musk innit

 

Musk played himself on South Park too so it's not exactly surprising

 

This was so goddamn funny. Best of the three so far without a doubt.

He voiced Elon Tusk

 

i think he was on the simpsons as well

 

Yeah this was by far the funniest episode so far.

 

Loved that one.

 

Apparently the next episode is Dec 8, not Sunday. DUMB
