just want to plug r/c137 as another place to discuss rick and morty that isn't all derpsauce and sexism
If a coworker or somebody asked me point blank if it watch this show, I would probably lie and say no
I'm starting to think I am the outlier in this thread, and it's strange. Hell yeah I would tell anyone and everyone that I watch this show because it's fucking amazing
I wouldn't be afraid to tell anyone but I do think I would have to clarify that I'm not one of those fans
A friend at work has been insisting that "the guy who made Rick and Morty died" for months now. I ask her where she read it and which one died. She always says she doesn't know and when I tell her it's not real, she doesn't believe me. I prefer my conversations with her to most interactions with fans of the show.
I say yeah rick and morty is cool and leave it at that.' a lot of my co-workers are fans so it's been chill to talk to them about it.
I have a Rick Pop! on my desk and have gotten a ton of people into the show. Most people I speak to in real life aren't as conscious of internet bullshit as I am
That's a good comparison, especially how their respective fanbases think they are the smartest people for watching one show.
c137! also i still actively try to get people to watch the show. no fucks given. sent my therapist a damn clip of that last scene in Pickle Rick so she'd know what i was talking about in session one day. oh god it's personal again
oh my god YES. I'm not an asshole so I didn't say that specifically but I definitely kinda laughed and was like "well, its not like you would be able to tell otherwise- right? haha"
In grad school, everyone watches rick and morty. maybe the shitty fans are the ones that have too much to prove
I think there are definitely parts of Reddit that are awful but, just like YouTube, if you avoid reading the comments then it’s not that bad. I visit the front page nearly everyday because there’s a lot of funny, entertaining, and educational stuff on there. I don’t travel much further than that
avoid the defaults, and find the subreddits you like there are some terrible, terrible places, but also some damn good ones
I don't normally write off entire things due to bad parts, but any place that allows something like r/hotdeadchicks to exist is a place I want absolutely nothing to fucking do with
The Niche subs are great, more niche the better. If they actually cared about purging the shit they have it wouldn't be such an embarrassing website, but that many white men together is gonna lead to a lot of awful bullshit.
