Chick-Fil-A: honey mustard, honey roasted bbq, sweet and spicy sriracha The Cane's sauce at Raisin Cane's is also really good, those aren't everywhere though
I’m bummed about the backlash. The show and it’s staff is amazing and it doesn’t deserve to be dragged through the mud because of some shitty fans.
If the show and its staff were encouraging this behavior, then yeah I could see not watching it anymore. I probably wouldn't either myself. Dan and Justin have no control over what the fans, or what McDonalds, is doing though and can only speak out against it, which they have done. Refusing to watch it because of what rogue fans are doing, when the creators themselves have spoken out against outrageous fan behavior in the past and even in connection with this incident, doesn't make much sense to me. That's like blaming the creator of Pepe the Frog for what the alt-right has done with it.
I think the people calling this a stupid cartoon for nerds already thought that beforehand, it just sucks knowing something I enjoy fuels toxic behavior even if it's not the show's fault
It absolutely does suck and I can't even imagine how Dan and Justin must feel about all this. I mean this is the kind of thing that causes creators to say "screw it, we're done." Like when Chappelle had his breakdown over fans misconstruing the message of Chappelle's Show.
My gf and I dressed as Rick and Morty for Halloween three years ago and there's a picture of it on my IG that I have legit considered deleting so I don't become associated with this stuff lol
The fans will ruin this show and Justin and Dan will stop and then the fans will call them snowflakes
It's more like posting pics of pepe and saying "BUT I'M NOT LIKE THOSE GUYS TRUST ME". When shit you love gets co-opted by the scum of the earth, that's plenty reason to leave it. Even if it hurts to do so.
It is a lot of the same problems that South Park had, especially when it first came out. I still enjoy the show and will look forward to the next season, but I might keep my mouth shut when people ask me if I watch the show.
