Couldn't disagree more

 

I think it’s the second best by a slim margin behind 2. Most of S1 doesn’t hold up as well against the new episodes for me.

 

Don cheadle joke was my favorite. Will agree with the sentiments that it was a pretty good ep but not a super satisfying finale.

 

He talks about minecraft/autism on harmontown as well

 

Anyone else notice that the president travels in what's essentially a Nether portal from Minecraft, complete with a guy lighting it with a flint lighter lol

 

Whaat that's awesome lol I'll have to look out for that on my rewatch

 

I will never read "Mr. PB" and not immediately think Mr. Peanutbutter

Don't forget the scene in the Whirly Dirly Conspiracy where the alien kid shoots his sister. Jesus.

 

i think the seasons' strongest episodes were the series' strongest episodes yet, but as a whole, the season left me unsatisfied. honestly, i'm just salty that their seasons are so short.

morty's mind blowers is prob my favorite. the scene where morty beats rick at checkers had me dead. and the fucking squirrels.

Totally agree with you on all of this. Not sure if id say Mortys Mindblowers was my favorite, but I'm not sure which one would be. Might be Rest and Ricklaxation.

 

idk I don't think any episode this season ranks as an all timer, maybe the Atlantis ep

Potential all timers:
Rest and ricklaxation, tales from the citadel, the premiere episode

Very good eps: whirly dirly, abc's of Beth, pickle rick

Solid eps: rickmancing the stone, the avengers one, president one, Mortys mind blowers

 

Last two episodes of this season were just not good

The penultimate episode was one of my favorites. That play was a series highlight for me. I probably laughed the hardest during Morty’s Mindblowers though

 

Citadel one was an episode so special I was proclaiming it an all-timer before it had even finished. Can't decide whether it's No.1 or No.2 on my personal list, but it is a phenomenal 20mins of television and certainly worthy of 'classic' status IMPO. Just thinking about Cop Morty, Simple Rick's and the Morty that jumps into the garbage disposal has me laughing, then to top the episode off with the reveal of evil Morty was a great payoff.

I almost always have to look up what the episode even was when people just say the title lol

 

I always feel like I'm watching a different show, everyone is so into the mythology and I'm like um Summer is cool what's the one where Summer is cool

 

I think this was my favourite season so far, only episode I didn't love was Tales from the Citadel.

 

Least favorite by a decent margin but not bad by any means. Felt a little half-baked at times, which I hope isn't too unfair to say considering they worked on it for so long. I just feel like most of the episodes left something to be desired. Who knows, I'll probably feel differently upon rewatching. There really were a few gems though
