I definitely think that they stood up to the promise of this season being the darkest of the three. Morty mutating that kid who dumped summer. Beth being nuts. Even Jerry killed all those aliens and his biggest complaint was that he was tired lol.
Yeah, I almost wish there was one more episode to tie up some loose ends and give a more satisfying conclusion.
I don’t know that I needed more closure per se. This show doesn’t have a lot of serialized arcs other that emotional throughlines which have basically stayed the same from season to season. For me, a funny episode ending with a tag from Mr. PB was satisfying enough to hold me over until next season.
One more scene after the family getting together, like Rick in the garage making a plan to find non-clone Beth or something, would really leave it on a more satisfying cliff hanger like the last two
The only people who know for sure if Beth is a clone sit in the R&M writers room. And I doubt even they are 100% sure.
when they were talking about minecraft, rick was something like "it's for austistics, right?" or something like that
I remember it more as Rick commenting on his own autism R: "Is this game popular with autistic people?" M: "Why would you say that?" R: "Because I'm starting to love it!"
Hmm that's fair, I'm not 100% sure what they were going for, but I think they were implying that Rick is autistic, possibly with Savant Syndrome. Harmon has an interest in autism and did a great job portraying Abed with Asperger's in Community, and found that he has many of the symptoms as he researched more into it. I don't think there's an intended disrespect there, but I don't know what goes on in Dan and Justin's heads
She's a superposition of both the clone and uncloned Beth which completely subverts the question of "is Beth real". Her reality depends on the observer. It also aligns nicely with his whole "real doesn't matter there's hundreds of different versions of you" thing. I dig it.
Beth determining that she might be a clone version of herself that loves Jerry again is so interesting to think about, especially if she isn't a clone.
Mr PBH apologising for missing the series because he got married and went back to college brought a tear to my eye. It's okay, buddy. See you in Season 4!
So if real Beth left, will she ever come back or do you think that storyline is done? Also, I always forget this, but it’s pretty funny to think that none of this is taking place in the original reality
