Very good points, I think @T.J. hit the nail on the head there and was able to sum this season up in a way I could not. I guess I've been thinking in terms of consistent laughs, but laughs don't necessarily equate to quality.
I'm inclined to call this one the best yet (and I didn't know that was a consensus or anything), but that could also be me being a prisoner of the moment or something
I might be exaggerating when I say noob noob’s god damn is the greatest moment in tv history. ok that is full exaggeration but STILL
It's been an okay season. Some great moments but nothing reaching the heights of the previous two. The highmark of the series still being, imo, the ending of Rick Potion No. 9
Oh man, I think the end of the Unity episode hit me harder than the end of Rick Potion No. 9. Weirdly not a big fan of that episode, but I agree with you that was a great ending.
Did not care for the most recent episode because developing Beth's character serves no overall purpose. Going deep on how pathetic Jerry is was hilarious but also like...we already know this. Anyway, I don't mind the episode much, it'll make the finale all the better.
Apparently from that last interview the finale wasn't always meant to be a finale so I'm cautious on hype, it should be a solid standard episode with a Phoenix's person cameo to tie things together or something
I mean, there are some amazing overlying plotlines which is part of what makes this show so good. Character development outside of Rick and Morty falls a bit short unless it's to supplement these two. That's why summer and Jerry's stories are kind of fun. Beth however...meh
Depends on the character. It doesn't matter I just think Beth is a pointless character, she's there to serve for other characters. For example, Jerry's character depends almost entirely on her. We need her for Jerry, sometimes Rick. Probably the only stuff this season I could do without. Whatever it doesn't matter.
I'm glad we finally got some real Beth development, and it was a great episode. She's a more interesting character than Jerry for sure, who's ended up just being a punching bag 90% of the time
