Show hasn't skipped a beat, the premiere wasn't a fluke. The way they work through real-life problems in the context of crazy sci-fi adventures will never get old. Hemmorrhage's speech about the "Before-Fore Time" had me rolling. Armethy was incredible, especially his flashback where he's still just an arm. The Mortybot gaining sentience and Rick having to override it offscreen was gold. This friggin show, y'all.
Very good episode. That bit with robot Morty turning sentient is probably my favorite part. So disturbing and funny at the same time.
I loved that Beth's reaction to robot Morty's hopes and dreams was the exact same reaction real Morty had when Beth tried to indulge him later. It was a real "yep, Morty is definitely the son of his mother" type of moment that provided a fun resolution to a joke that I didn't even think needed it
Hey you guys still using that thunder dome? You mean the blood dome? Save it for the semantics dome, EB White.
I rewatched the season premiere before seeing the new one last night and man is the premiere such a great great great ep. I know Meeseeks and the Blips and Chips/Jerry Daycare eps are among the best, but I think this tops them on a second re watch.
Reminded me of a certain movie that has a similar premise but I can't name it because it's sort of adds to the emotional impact of the ending.
