So there's theme park episode, pickle Rick episode, fury road episode, giant Summer episode which may be a b story, and slime creature episode. At least that's what I could tell distinctly.
Awesome. I mean that trailer could've literally been the 2 second Pickle Rick clip and I'd be no less excited. So so ready for this.
The epguide I looked at shows that the episodes on 7/30 is different than the 4/1 one. Hoping to catch up on S1 and 2 before the end of the month.
Haven't seen a single second of this show. Figure right before the new season is a good time to finally get into this. Can't decide how I'm gonna watch it yet though. Might end up doing a Hulu free trial
What I would say is I think episode 1 is quite weak, but the few after that are all fantastic, and with them being only 20 something minutes, there's never any filler. You can burn through a full season in a night easily.
The pilot is fucking amazing. The show already had such a great grasp of itself. "They're not robots, Rick!" "It's a figure of speech, Morty! They're bureaucrats! I don't respect them!"
Watched the first 6 today and pretty much liked each one better than the last. Can already tell I'll love this show, I love the dialogue style
I see people talk down the pilot constantly and I just scratch my head and wonder if they just watched, like, the first two minutes and then said "Eh, I'll wait for the next one" before changing the channel. The school bully's insecurities, the bit where Rick tells Morty he has to put the Mega Seeds up his ass, the part where Morty gets singled out for a new special screening that detects things lodged "way up your butt," the robots/bureaucrats moment, Rick's final speech in the garage as Morty convulses, it's all gold. The show sprang to life fully-formed in one of the stronger comedy pilots we've seen in years and it gets nowhere near the credit it deserves.
