Anybody need a copy of his Live at Luna Record Store Day release?

 

The latest Patreon update is maybe my favorite rarity-type release he's shared so far. For those of you not on his Patreon, it's a rehearsal tape (8 songs) of the Buzzard-era lineup of Margot playing some of the songs that would eventually become Slingshot to Heaven, including b-side stuff like "Your Sister's House" and "Bust Up Fantasies" and "You Win." So cool to hear these.

also I saw that Jenny O is playing a show at the Hi Fi next month with support listed as "special guest". Made me wonder

yeah i drove over for it from cleveland. very exciting it seems like they’re going to press the show on vinyl

i’ll be holding out hope for ya. thinking good thoughts about a post covid world and him finally figuring out his health issues

What a damn song. So dreamy and lush. I love what he wrote in the short description of the song on Bandcamp:

I wrote this song, like so many on the record, while dancing alone in my house. I had an idea that by moving the body while singing, my melodies might bend and twist in ways they hadn’t during years of sedentary writing. I was correct. The song is about a reoccurring dream when I’m sick.
