Life is short these days, you gotta release the dreamy alt. version on the same day as the album version

Richard is being nihilistic about this album launch so far, share this around and help me prove him wrong? (Full disclosure, I made the video)

"Estonia" and "Ketamine (Acoustic)" are streaming now, here are all the links.

Two weeks til the album! We'll be shipping vinyl ahead of release date.

Less than one week til the premiere of that cover song he's been teasing for years...

  22. wasn’t he not really planning on making this one and all of a sudden it happened

makes sense though since this is coming out and his health is failing again :concerned:

Knowing him somewhat personally at this point, he says variations of this every few months, just sometimes it's in public and sometimes it isn't. He leans dramatic. He's still got an album's worth of finished/mastered "quarantine" style re-recordings of solo tracks (and they are delicious).

I kinda wish he'd more accessibly share the b-sides from this album session, too (although he will eventually, as part of the next big rarities set).

This version of Gillian Welch's "Beautiful Boy" in particular stands right alongside the album in my mind, and was in contention on the track list for quite a bit:
