"Sandra's Stuff" (now a b-side) is up on Patreon. Really gorgeous, and some of my favorite lyrics from him lately.

I like this one. Thought for sure the “love breaks your heart” part would be the chorus, interesting choice to go in the opposite direction.

This is pretty great y’all. Lemon Cotton Candy Sunset was always gonna be hard to top though.

  19. this didn’t stick with me as much as i thought a richard project would. going back now after getting my copy on vinyl and it’s really good, though. it’s just very lush and decadent so like a really rich mousse i’m not reaching for it every night (who am i kidding that’s only cus i don’t have any mousse)

With the change in the weather here I find myself coming back to this more. It didn't really fit my listening over the summer.

I love Dust of Retreat and Animal/Not Animal!.

If Andy Fry were involved with this, I'd be curious.

LFG!!! New album, New Mood, out March 18th:

At the onset of the pandemic, mostly to ward off depression, I got together with Dave Palmer and Perla Batalla to record some of the music from The Soft Ache and the Moon era that we hadn’t gotten to for that record.

When we were finished I felt that it might be a little too gloomy for a world trying to navigate a once in a hundred year nightmare so it got set on the shelf.

Well, it is on the shelf no more. Sounding unlike any other recording collection we’ve made, this one is meant for late nights in smoke filled rooms with a glass of something stiff.

New Mood has become very dear to me and I hope it finds you and your family well after so much trouble. This album is very limited and as always we have some real neat variants as well as a deluxe pack.

We’ve also released the first song, a shaggy and sprawling little bit of business called, “Golden Moses”, which was written during a period of wandering around Los Angeles and getting into wonderful trouble.

The album will be released on March 18th.
