I’m conflicted cause I feel like Untitled is a perfect album but I also don’t enjoy listening to it as much as something like Pale Horses
Tier 1: Brother, Sister [Untitled] Tier 1 1/2: Pale Horses Catch For Us the Foxes Tier 2: [untitled] EP Ten Stories it’s all crazy! it’s all false! it’s all a dream! it’s alright. [A—>B] Life There is no tier 3 mwY record.
Untitled feels like the B,S to Pale Horses CFUTF. They both take an established sound and just push it out in different directions. CFUTF will probably always be my favorite and the one I consider their best but a discography this stellar makes it hard to rank. I’ll try though CFUTF Untitled B,S PH TS Crazy AB
Catch for Us the Foxes Pale Horses [untitled] the rest [placeholder for emphasis] it's all crazy! I do REALLY love [untitled]. It's such an excellent work of art that thematically connected w/ me a lot this past year. But, Foxes has too much sentimental value to ever be usurped, & I enjoy listening to Pale Horses a little more.
you’re everyone else you’re everyone else you’re everyone else you’re everyone else you’re everyone else you’re everyone else you’re everyone else you’re everyone else
It’s a great but odd album for me. The songwriting on it is insane but it just doesn’t have all the dynamics of a terrific mwY record for me.
I wish it was as good as Neutral Milk Hotel. I actually love the sound they went for on that album I just don't like the songs much. Still some greats on there.
Went to Pittsburgh today to hit up a dope comic shop, & on my way home, passed a sign for West End Bridge. Reminded me of the flawless "Mexican War Streets," which is behind only "Fox's Dream" these days in my mwY songs ranking. Man, Pale Horses is SO good.
