I remember seeing Silent Hill in a $1 theater. The entire time we were just shouting out video game tropes like "You need to find a typewriter!" I feel like the new movie would have been good in that type of setting.
The new movie would make a fantastic bad movie night pick, get loaded with your friends watching it and just laugh at it.

Rewatched the first 5 movies the past two days and am about to finish seeing the 6th for the first time. is it just me or does the 6th feel like a downgrade in visual quality? It all looks cheaper and the action feels like it’s not that well choreographed and chopped to hell.
I rewatched Retribution this week and screamed at Leon’s hair every time he’s onscreen. Movies make absolutely zero sense after Extinction and find 4 and 6 completely unwatchable.
Having just watched all 6, 6 is the worst for sure. 4 isn’t great, but when Alice kicks the glass through the dog I die laughing.
Wesker being taken out by a door at the end of it all made me actually burst out laughing. At that point I was already checked out, but found it remarkable I could still be that perplexed.
