Lots of tire kickers on marketplace but at least you need some type of profile and the reviews / ratings help to filter out any wild cards

Yeah, reselling can be fun once you get the hang of it. Best quick tip: stick to categories you know well, that way you can spot deals faster.

looking for some advice against a scammer

    sold a 72" x 24" mat for $400

the buyer messages me claiming I sent them a 20" x 20" mat (that sells for like $150) and wants me to refund them the difference

I tell them, if you received the wrong item, send back exactly what you received in the original packaging and you will be refunded

they disappeared for a couple weeks but now that the return window is close to running out, guess what... they opened a return

I'm assuming they'll switch out the mats and send me a small one and eBay will probably side with them when I know for a fact I sent them the correct larger one

any advice on how not to get forced into refunding the buyer 100% and being stuck with whatever junk they send me back?

I would definitely wait for the return and open a case against the buyer with eBay when it comes, assuming it’s fraudulent

I plan to do that. Just seems like ebay always takes the buyers side so I didn't know if there was anything I should do preemptively or any evidence I could possibly gather.
