Reselling (eBay, Mercari, Depop, etc...)

Anyone do any reselling?

I've dabbled from time to time and with some recent successes, I'm starting to take it a little more seriously (mostly eBay)

Any tips, tricks, sourcing ideas? Flip anything cool lately?

 

just to be clear, I'm not talking about buying up shoes to scalp or anything like that. more so finding things at garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, etc and re-selling them on eBay for profit

 

I've sold stuff for 15+ years on ebay, craigslist, mercari, FB. I'll even admit to flipping stuff. Concert tickets, records, posters, funko, whatever is going to make me a buck. Mercari has a nice new perk this month of ZERO seller fees. Ebay takes too much fees these days, but at the same time it has the largest market of people and buyers.

 

My wife and I have been selling stuff on Depop with great success. I used to do it on my own, but now we just put everything on her account and split the funds.

I also did Poshmark a while ago which is a great place to sell, but I haven’t sold anything there in well over a year now

 

I posted a bunch on Mercari but didnt sell much. Have had better luck charging a couple bucks more and dealing with eBay fees.

Probably gonna buy a thermal label printer next week. Any recs?

 

I’ve got over 100 listings on eBay right now. I’ve probably sold about $5k worth of stuff on eBay or locally (Craigslist / FB) this year so far. I’m on a teacher salary so the extra cash helps

I've dabbled in reselling on eBay and found it pretty fun! One of my go-to strategies is checking out local thrift stores and yard sales—you’d be surprised at what you can find if you dig a little. I recently flipped a vintage camera I picked up for just a few bucks, and it sold for a nice profit. It’s all about spotting those hidden gems!

The last 7-10 days (really everything post-Xmas) has been fruitful for me. Almost $700 in sales
