Also Death Note is white. I didn't think we needed another incarnation of Kira vs. L; we definitely don't need a whitewashed one.

 

There have already been 2 live action Asian versions of the movies released here though I don't think its the same case as The Ghost in the Shell where this is the first live action adaption. Keith Stanfield is playing L as well, so I wouldn't call this a white show.
