I honestly don't know how to feel about the situation. On the one hand, yeah, Crowe and Stone both fucked up, but on the other, they didn't know it at the time, and now it at least kind of seems like they do and will make an effort to be more aware in the future. I haven't seen the movie, so I'm not sure how well their "but that's how the character was intended/that's how the real life person the character was based on is" explanation holds up.

The Critics Choice Awards gave in to the musical charm of La La Land

Mahershala Ali and Viola Davis won Best Supporting Actor and Actress, respectively. Have high hopes for these two as Awards season runs its course (haven't seen Fences yet, of course, but it looks great and Davis looks to be typically brilliant in it).

Moonlight won a well-deserved Best Acting Ensemble award.

Kate McKinnon won Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Donald Glover won Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Thandie Newton won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The crew from The People vs. O.J. Simpson swept almost all the TV Movie/Miniseries categories as well (Best TV Movie/Miniseries, Best Actor, Supporting Actor, and Actress in a TV Movie/Miniseries). Regina King won Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie/Miniseries.
