The New York Times is reporting that Daniel Craig will be returning as James Bond in a new film in 2019: The companies said in a statement that details about a distribution partner, international release dates and the film’s cast and director would be announced “at a later date.” But Mr. Craig’s return is a done deal, according to two people briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid conflicts with Eon and MGM. Yeah... hopefully this final one will be amazing so he can have more good Bond films than mediocre ones...
I feel like I'm in the minority in that I not only thought Spectre was mediocre, I VERY nearly outright hated that movie. The plot was so predictable and even stupid in several moments. Such a wasted opportunity.
Yeah I was pretty bummed about Spectre since Mendes was returning and Hoyte Van Hoytema is a superb cinematographer.. had high hopes for it. Oh well.
It's quite possibly among the very worst James Bond movies for me just because of how thoroughly disappointed I was.
Now a few years later, I think QoS is better than Spectre, and I am not a big fan of QoS at all and it has a lot of very known issues. But Spectre just didn't work as a film, and it wasn't a very good Bond film either.
I know there's maybe too much of a focus on the "twist" because believe me I think there were a lot of other issues with Spectre too... but seriously the twist was so stupid.
Still haven’t seen spectre. Bought it the day it came out and it’s been chillin on my shelf since. Probably should get around to it.
