Yeah it's totally understandable why he wouldn't want to tour that album. I'm sad there's a slim chance I'll ever get to see them perform again. Wish I could have gone when they co-headlined with Switchfoot. Also sad to hear about his divorce, wiki lied to me. I hope he's okay.
Man, I had suspicions that Theissen had gotten divorced, but this is the first I've seen anyone mention it. FANSD was such an important part of my life. It fell at absolutely the perfect season, and truly got me through some dark stuff. I'd love them to tour it, but at the same time if Theissen no longer relates at all to the subject matter (you'd think after this divorce he would?), I don't want a phoned in show. Also, I haven't given Air For Free the time it deserved.
Two Lefts came out 16 years ago today. They were signing copies at the mall and I told Matt Thiessen that he was awesome. I was 12.
I was 13 although I didn't listen to it until August. First album I got into outside the mainstream side of things and it opened me to a whole world of music. I've never looked back!
Found Mmhmm at goodwill over the weekend, first time really diving into the record outside of the hits. Love it!
I can't believe Two Lefts is 16, that means I've had it for half of my life! In high school RK was definitely my favorite band and I couldn't wait for each release. I remember rushing home from school to check the mail box to see if the album was there. There is something I miss about the anticipation of waiting for music to arrive
I got the sky blue cover. I was 12.. my gosh. First album I loved and will always mean the world to me.
Matt told me after a show back in November that Andrew McMahon told him 7 years ago that he should hang up the Relient K name, and if he had listened to him it would’ve saved him a lot of personal anguish. He seemed pretty set on not doing RK anymore. It was a hard thing to hear.
maybe Andrew was just trying to get Matt to quit so that he could take his place this was 7 years ago
