I really don’t understand what led them to leave that off the song.

 

Yeah I'm not really sure either. When I listen to the album I have the intro at first and then the album version as they intended, but I put this extended version on a mix of mine and I love it as a single this way

 

Now that I hear it all together, seriously, what possessed them to leave it off? Great song as it is, but that intro adds so much. Ugh. This is my favorite band that makes the worst choices.

It also really annoys me that This is the End is split up.

I remember on my Mmhmm CD when I first found out there was a hidden track by rewinding the first track my mind was blown.

 

FANSD has this too. Blew my mind. Pre-gap tracks are fun.

 

I actually have the two parts combined into one for my iTunes

 

Oh my gosh I didn’t know about FANSD. I just heard it and it’s glorious.

The Japanese import of mmhmm actually has the hidden track as track 1, and it's fantastic.

 

“Don’t Blink” might be the most misleading first single. It almost sounded like a continuation from FANSD, but nope.

 

Oh snap! The extended intro to Marigold is the pre-gap track off AFF. I just tried it on my CD copy and it worked!

The last thing I would want is a FANSD tour where Matt T is phoning it in. If he doesn’t want to do one, I don’t want it.

 

To be honest I feel like he’s been phoning it in for a while. I mean the quality was there on the last album for sure but it doesn’t feel like his heart is in it like it used to.

I'd be surprised if that petition got 1,000 signatures.
Also, I'm assuming a lot when I say this but I find it difficult to imagine a now-happily-married Matt interested in a tour for a break-up album he wrote 10 years ago. Revisiting those songs night after night would be...something else. Sure, some people in a similar position could do it but I bet some people just wouldn't want to.
