My best friend growing up showed me a couple of their songs like Pressing On, Sadie Hawkins Dance, Be My Escape, etc. I ended up loving them, so eventually I wanted a CD. That was around the time Mmhmm was released, but for whatever reason I got Two Lefts instead. Looking back I can't remember why I did since my friend only showed me one song from that album (Chap Stick) compared to Mmhmm or even Anatomy, but I'm so glad I did. It was the first album I truly loved! Edit: I got Two Lefts instead cause my friend already had Mmhmm, so he told me get Two Lefts and we'll burn each other CDs. That's what it was!
Had the day off and decided to make my own Air For Free patches for my jacket. Turned out pretty good!

Bummed it’s not coming close to me. I don’t like Owl City but I’d still go to see Matt, but I don’t really wanna travel for that. Haha. So stoked about this Earthquakes album though!
It's been a painfully long wait for that pedal. Part of me still doesn't believe him when he says he's "getting really close to releasing it" - it'll be later this fall when it actually comes out, I bet haha.
Created an album thread! Will update with title and release date when that info is available. Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes - TBA (August 2018)
Listening to Five Score all the way through for the first time in a long time. I forgot how much I enjoyed it when it came out.
Five Scores was the first album of theirs where after the first listen I went "....I..guess I like it?" and felt like I was lying to myself. Has some of their best songs, but man is there a lot of filler.
Forget And Not Slow Down > Mmhmm > Air For Free > Two Lefts > Anatomy > Five Score > Collapsible Lung > Relient K
1. MMHMM 2. Forget and Not Slow Down 3. Air for Free 4. Five Score and Seven Years Ago 5. Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...But Three Do 6. The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek 7. Collapsible Lung 8. Relient K This band has four terrific albums, one great album, two decent albums, and one mediocre album. One of the best discographies of any band I know.
Forget and Not Slow Down = Anatomy > MMHMM > Air for Free > Two Lefts > Relient K > Five Scores > Collapsible Lung That is where I sit today, my rankings of their albums changes quite a bit throughout the year. Some have heavy nostalgia attached to them as well, specifically Anatomy, that does play into the ranks.
