Preordered w/ t-shirt. Love that song. Man, so ready for new for this!

Same! On Twitter it seems they are helping people out with that if they ordered without the code. Seeing what they do for me haha.

 

I listened to the new song again this morning and liked it a lot more - and I liked it last night, too. The lyrics are a little hard to make out. Would be cool if they posted those but I really like the song.

 

I shot them an email.

I ordered Air for Free first, super fast. Then found their main page with the other vinyl, and made a separate order for those super quick.

Then I saw the discount code, and got sad.

 

If I put that code in it says my order doesn't meet the requirements and I don't see any mention of it on their Twitter - what's it's supposed to do?

The code is there on the front page. I can't read it as the format is jumbled on mobile.

 

Looks like the code is for the other RK vinyl albums, not the new one.

 

The new song is catchy, but Collapsable Lung was (mostly) catchy too. Outside of that, there's little that gets me excited for the rest of the album. Still no keys and Matt seems dead set on giving us his Tom Petty impression at all times.

I don't hear any MMHMM or FANSD influences that many of you seem to be suggesting... Instead, this feels like an evolution of Collapsable Lung that is tailored to that Nashville singer/songwriter sound...

It's simply not what I was looking for.

 

That's probably the case. Hopefully they can just refund me $10.

 

That t-shirt looks awesome. Curious if there will be CD pre-orders with the shirt combo.

 

I’m digging the new song personally. Also, beyond excited that the entire catalog has been repressed and put up on SMLXL as well as their website. Regardless of how the whole album turns out, I’m just glad they’re active again!

 

Have been tirelessly selling my record collection and now I really want to buy this one. lol.

 

I got that Five Score repress, on the fence about spending $35 on Air For Free vinyl right now though.

 

Currently no plans for the album on CD. Could change but unlikely.

 

Any knowledge on if the digital copy that comes with the vinyl will have a FLAC download option?

I know you're not with the band, but you seem to know a bit about their plans.

 

No knowledge of that but will update if/when I know.

Also $30 for a record seems a little high, does it come with a $7 or something or just a 2xLP?

 

Album is an hour (59:16) worth of new tunes. Excited.

 

Really cool that the sequencing is different on vinyl.

 

This makes me kind of sad. CD is still the format I use most, and the vinyl is $20 more than what a CD would cost.
