While we're standing by, I'd just like to reflect on Two Lefts, the first truly great Relient K record that's only overshadowed because it's not as great as everything after (barring Collapsible Lung). I love how the humor is still intact and even more refined on this record, but musically it's such a huge jump from Anatomy. Reminds me of the jump Anberlin made between Blueprints and Never Take Friendship Personal where their sound didn't change much, they just became so much tighter as a band.

This album also ages super well I must say.

 

Okay! Fixed. I must not have copied over that final round 1 match. Round 2 was set up for that 6th match already.

 

Agreed with the jump they made. While their are playful moments, they left the silliest stuff behind them and it made for a much stronger album.

So this is the album that got me into 'good' music. Lots of nostalgia attached to it. The progression from their earlier work is great - it knows how to be fun and serious. Still a fun listen.

The album that truly got me into music. I was 12 years old and haven't looked back since.

 

Hoopes (I Did It Again) is easily the worst song on the album

 

Hmm... I like that more than Falling Out.thats probably it though.

Agreed. Hoopes is the one song on Two Lefts that would've fit better on their first two records.

 

Falling Out is actually among my top tracks for the album, was sadly up against my actual top
