Cool cover. Not sure what to make out of the songs based on their one to two word titles.

Just noticed Look on Up isn't on this. Wonder if that's because it didn't fit musically or what.

Sweet! Also I started with Forget And Not Slow Down because that's the one my friend plays songs from the most... really digging it. I'll go backwards after.

 

I'm cool with it being on it's own as a single. Just means more (new) music to hear on the album.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is kind of like Mmhmm in the way that album has a more serious second half.

 

Excited for this... Really hope the keys come back in a big way on this release. They were terribly absent from Collapsable Lung.

FANSD is definitely their best album, but when you really dig into mmhmm there's also a depth that you don't notice on the surface.

For sure listen to The Bird and the Beesides soon. It was half new music half rare and B side tracks. The Nashville Tennis EP (first 13 tracks) is my favorite thing the band has done. It was their release that everyone tried a lot of new things. The other 13 tracks have some of the hidden gems of their discography like The Vinyl Countdown and For the Band.

 

As a U.S. resident, how can I hear this?

Not sure about Bummin', Mrs. Hippopotamuses', or Cat, but the rest of the song titles sound appropriately whimsical for Relient K. Nice to see some length to the track list, and that album cover looks gorgeous.

In reference to "Look On Up," didn't they sort of do something similar w/ "That's My Jam" on CL? A "taster" track, if you will.

Guess I'll wait until tomorrow for a song. I can't listen to "Bummin'," but I'm curious what it sounds like.

 

Going to hold off from listening to anything and wait for release. July 22nd is two days before my birthday, lovely present indeed.

 

very intrigued by that cover, wonder how stripped down this'll be and how that'll play out musically. excited cause of course i am, i've been listening to this band since i was ten.

 

Heard Bummin', it sounds ok. I'm optimistic for this.
