Someone on the subreddit said Relient k gets 75 minutes for their set at least. And I don't think it's been said who's playing first and second so they could be the closer for shows on the tour with Switchfoot
with it being "looking for america" tour and that being one of switchfoot's songs, i'm not too hopeful. maybe they'll alternate? we shall see.
i personally dont care about cds for this album cause i dont like this album. but usually yeah im on team cd
It's cool. I think this band just keeps being ridiculous. "We have a CD release show tonight" "We don't have any CD's though." "I'll go burn some, probably not enough for everyone attending if they would like it. But, Problem solved. We are a professional band." Just absurd.
Yeah as much as I love the new album and the fact that they are happy to be playing shows they have been seriously dropping the ball on album cycles, haha.
I mean, I guess it works for them or they would change. But man is it just incredibly odd to see happen.
Maybe they're just trying to add an intimate, exclusive touch to the release show. I don't know, definitely don't think any lesser of the band because of it. Kind of silly TO have any issue with it, if I'm being totally honest. But whatever, not why I'm here. Listening to FANSD for the first time in a couple years right now. This album is breathtakingly great. Fuck. I don't know if there's a song on here that misses for me. Particularly blown away by "Savannah," which I didn't remember from my initial listens.
I agree to a certain extent, I don't particularly care that there are no CDs. That said, I think that people's issue is that the band said there would be and there aren't.
Oh, I guess I didn't realize they had promised actual cds and then they backed out. That's super sketchy, then.
Mike at SMLXL said there would be CDs "soon" and RK tweeted the same thing. I know everyone wants everything right now and they wanna know what's going on, but I trust that they'll actually have them at some point.
I guess I'm in the minority in thinking getting to experience the release show and leave with a limited, burnt/hand-signed cd is awesome and not annoying.
The vocal melody in the verses of "Savannah" is so impressively fucking challenging to nail down/replicate.
