Yeah I don't think we'll hear it unless they stream it which I wouldn't expect until at least a week before.
Kind of. I had CL in February before it even had a title, months before release, back when I had an "in" with the band.
yeah, that bridge has been burned, but oh well haha. we'll get it soon enough. If they were smart, they'd put it up for streaming on their website before it leaks. but it doesn't seem like something they'd do since they've done virtually 0 marketing or promotion of this album other than instagram
the name and the artwork were so secondary to that album they could of called it anything and had any picture as the cover lol
They've been promoting a show that's today and have been silent about the CDs. Maybe they will start selling CDs at shows today.
After looking up the track times, I was surprised that there were not interludes being that it's 16 tracks. Hopefully it's all killer. I don't care for many albums that have that many full songs.
This might be blind optimism combined with slight fanboyism (even though CL is possibly the most disappointed I've ever been in an album), but I have a great feeling about this album.
i mean, they only have one awful album. so, it's not too weird of a thought. I just can't bear the kind of letdown that CL was. I need to keep expectations super low.
I've loved everything they've released from the album and Look On Up is also better than anything on CL. Loved Marigold when I saw them in Cleveland last fall too. I saw there are a couple live videos of new songs but I'm gonna hold off until the album comes out at this point.
CL has Don't Blink, Disaster and the title track which I think are all good. The rest of the album I kind of have to turn my brain off to enjoy (and even then, I can't quite stomach Gloria).
Collapsible Lung and Don't Blink are on par with Relient K's standard. To be fair though, I remember liking one or two others, but they are so unremarkable, that I don't even remember which ones.
Those are the 2 I really like to, everything else I don't go back to at all, except Boomerang the odd time.
