I'm liking the clips a lot. Seems like the first two songs released might be the weakest on here. Can't wait to see people whine about that autotune.
Oh yeah, that one too for sure. Other than those two though, I think this album should be pretty well received by everyone. It still sounds poppier than anything pre-Collapsible Lung, but this the difference is, they're doing it really well this time. As a side note, I just realized. Relient k is to me what Brand New is to most people on this site. hahaha Bad marketing, long release gaps, yet for some reason I'm still here as excited for what they do as ever.
Honestly based on the snippets? This could be one of their best albums ever. I think it sounds like a return to form either way. Other than "Mountaintop", all of those snippets sounded better to me than the two songs they've released and I thoroughly enjoy both. Of course they're just snippets, but it boosts my excitement. Only reservation is I still have trouble believing that there's not a couple fillers in that long tracklist. But I think (and hope) this might be the masterpiece Collapsible Lung should have been. Edit: Also, "Empty House" sounds like autotune done right.
These samples sound awesome. Sounds like the melancholy pop-rock they had with Jefferson Aeorplane and some of the Nashville ep. Love it. "Man" sounds pretty exciting in particular.
Haha I'm not sure what I'm going to do... I really want to listen to these, but we're getting closer to the release, I want to wait as well.
In Christian circles I've noticed that (I don't know if that's where you're from or not though), but anywhere else, not really. I guess Relient k still has a heavily religious fanbase though so I'm sure it'll happen even though it's illogical.
Yeah. I'm not saying it's a warranted comparison. Just like when Owl City was first pegged as a Postal Service ripoff (when they don't sound all that similar).
