Now that the weekend shows are done I'm ready for some tour news. With Bleach teasing shows for 2026 how about they open up for RK like they did back in the day?!
That was one of the first albums I remember counting down the days til it came out. I didn't live close to any stores and had to wait for it to come in the mail. I wore out The Creepy EP that summer waiting for the album
Still my favorite Relient K record. Christian kid at school burned me a copy of the album in grade 7 and I fell in love. So many good memories attached to it.
I was at the Alive show and the Saturday Nashville show, and they were great. I’m a firm believer in supporting artists I love to do/play whatever they want, and I’m just grateful they’re playing shows when for so long I thought they never would again. But I have to say, there are soooo many old songs I would have lost my mind if they played, and Getting Into You just isn’t one of them. lol. Bizarre choice.
This album really changed my life. First album I ever bought with my money. First album I was anticipating and went to get in store on release day. First album I played guitar along to. It was my favorite of theirs for a long time. I think now I don't reach for it as often and prefer a few others. But it's still top tier, I think. Great album.
Pressing On absolutely blew my 14 year old mind. Learning to play that on guitar was the most amazing feeling too. I have the original album so ingrained that hearing the remastered Gold version still sounds strange
this was the first album i bought, too! i got it at walmart lol. i was choosing between this and two lefts, but this had 17 tracks so i thought i was getting more bang for my buck... didn't realize 3 were intro/interludes. but loved how witty the songwriting was, loved the harmonies, loved the hidden track at the end. i listened to it last year and remembered how christian the lyrics were. definitely didn't seem that way as a kid. i still appreciate some of the songs but don't listen to it much for that reason.
I got Anatomy at Walmart the day it came out. I made my mom drive me after school. Went home and popped it in my stereo and read along with the lyrics. Moment in time.
Got mine yesterday. Wanted to buy them all but settled for the 1998 and light blue K Car shirt...they threw in a free Canada shirt too, stoked on that.
