So happy I finally got to see these guys yesterday. They were a blast and seemed to be having a great time

 

The Bird and the Bee Sides is 18 today. Wow.

 

There's a birds and the bees joke in there somewhere.

 

My favorite piece of trivia from Bird and the Bee Sides is that Davy Baysinger from Bleach drew the artwork.

 

I’m totally out of the loop on Christian music, but it’s wild that RK isn’t headlining something like this, unless it’s just because their music is far less Jesus-y.

 

Crowder, Tomlin, and Switchfoot are pretty huge in that scene.

 

Why is their name the only one in green? Lol

 

Because the social post is specifically about them (considering they're the only artist tagged in the announcement post) and they wanted to draw specific attention to which day they're performing...

 

I think it’s to call out that they were just added.

 

Early 2000s Christian festivals used to be so cool…not sure I could endure this current fest line up just to see RK.

 

Yeah, I am completely content knowing only RK and Switchfoot off that entire lineup

 

Purple Door was my go-to fest all through college.

 

This fest specifically was mine. It used to be the highlight of my year lol. I saw RK way back playing the small stages and then later headlining the fest.

Haven’t been in 15 years or more haha

 

I'm happy to see them adding a few shows/festivals here and there, it gives me a very small hope of getting a full tour announcement

I saw them 4 years in a row at Sonshine Festival. The first time they were on a smaller side stage after their debut album. I got their first two albums autographed and have a photo with Matt T buried in a box somewhere

 

I'm listening to the Bird and the Bee Sides right now. The Stenographer is a really fantastic song.

 

I was gifted a ticket for RK at Alive lol. It’s 20 mins from my house. Gonna pop in to see RK in the afternoon and be home by 4. Kind of perfect honestly.

I’ll let you know if I rededicate my life to Christ or anything.

I vividly remember being at Alive the year anatomy came out and being in line to get food and I heard the intro to Pressing On and I just cut out of line and ran towards the stage as fast as I could.

 

That riff…I know it kind of rips off Blink’s Dammit but man, that song blew my mind when I first heard it

 

Same! I got the Creepy EP that summer before the album dropped and remember listening to that non-stop

 

First song I ever heard from them because one of the Cleveland college radio stations was playing them as a local band. I think I bought the CD a week later or something without really knowing anything about them other than they kinda sounded like MxPx.

 

I always thought it really sounded like Makes No Difference by Sum 41
