I’m seeing them Sunday at Four Chord. A 35 minute set I think. Haven’t seen them in 10 years, so I’ll be happy to get a small set at this point. Hopefully they’ll do a headliner in Cleveland or Pittsburgh by the end of the year.
Weather is like 50/50 potentially shitty though. Hoping things roll through a bit earlier/late Saturday rather than Sunday.
Gotta be better than last year. Day 1 had severe thunderstorms and a tornado touched down a few miles away. Most sets were cut short. Andrew McMahan was cancelled all together. Taking Back Sunday played like 5 songs.
Yea, I heard all about that. We shall see. I kind of splurged and I think the VIP section I can go to has a roof. So I think I can stay dry, but a storm could mess things up.
Really enjoyed their set last night. They did a section in the middle with just the Matts and it was really special. They played Curl Up and Die which I’m not even sure if I’ve seen live before. There were some annoying hecklers and it was so hot my hands were pruning from sweating, but it was a great time.
I have such an insanely vivid post-high school memory attached to this song/album along with YC’s Lights and Sounds. It’ll never leave me. I love those songs, man.
Seeing the videos from the weekend make me want a tour sooo badly. I haven't seen them since AFF came out (8 years ago?!) I still hold out hope for new music too, especially with Hoopes moving back to Nashville. Hearing they did Curl Up and Die live I'm going back through all their old EPs and B-sides, it's unreal how good those tracks are. I think The Stenographer and acoustic version of Where Do I Go are my favorite ones. I also forgot how good the Live at Capitol Records tracks are
Man......I miss seeing them live. Make a point to see them every time they come through but I missed the last one.
