At first, I thought the guy in front was the tallest person in the world. Then I realized it was the cameraman on a riser.
He made an Instagram post about being mostly moved out of Florida and moving to Tennessee. He tagged his guitar pedal company and Relient K. So the implication sure seems promising.
Missed it by a day but Mmhmm came out 19 years ago yesterday. That album has now officially been a part of over half my life. I remember going to a CD release show around that time too but cannot remember any details about it lol
I did the same, and I'd go again but it'd feel like a bit odd...like I'd seen the same exact show already haha
It’s been ten years. And I still love the album and all the songs. I’ve seen the band enough that I’d still be super down, even if the encore was the same.
Nice! Yeah, I'd prefer a different show for sure at this point in time, but I get the desire to see this album played through live again. I just want a tour that hits the west coast...
I grew up in western PA, so I was able to see them play a lot being so close to their hometown. I am sure I could pick out a sets worth of songs I hadn’t heard before, but I’ve heard pretty much all the big ones to me. So, I’m down for whatever.
Really, what I'm keen for is a Forget tour. That album's more than deserving and would be such a journey to hear front-to-back. Next year would be 15 for that record! But in the meantime, are we all gonna overlook a 10-year Collapsible Lung tour? Ha, ha...
I would love to see that too. They should do a 2023/2024 joint Two Lefts/Mmhmm 20 year tour. Now that would be epic
On a related note I'm going through the Chris DeMakes a Podcast and am on the one with Matt about Be My Escape. Perfect timing to look back on that song
That's a great episode! Learned a lot from it. I also was able to connect with Hoopes to get information about which three songs were recorded last (after Brian left) and featured a studio bass player...this was mentioned on that podcast episode and intrigued me. That information was not available in the liner notes, so it was fun to find out the songs are "The One I'm Waiting For," "Which to Bury?" and "My Girl's Ex-Boyfriend."
