Looks like they also played the short Less Than Jake circle pit song again at Furnace Fest last week. Not in the middle of Pink Tux but they still included the pink tux chorus. It’s hard to gauge if it’s just a fun live thing or an actual seed of a new song
Wow, an important album for me. What a gem! Still remember picking it up on Amazon for $3.99 on release day. (And then on CD, and then again on vinyl...) Good times.
In my humble opinion, it's their best album. No question. One of my favorite records of all time as well.
Agreed. It's got the perfect blend of wit, adversity, hope, and absolutely pristine production. Townsend does well on all their records, but my goodness did he nail the sound on Forget.
Anyone remember the album poster that listed all the names on it from everyone that pre ordered? I think I still have the “tour pass” of the album somewhere haha
What are the odds the album gets an anniversary tour one of these days? It's more than deserving but I know that would be an emotionally taxing set to play every night. Maybe for 15 or 20 years?
I didn’t notice this myself, I saw someone on the RK subreddit post about it. The First Three Gears (Self-Titled, Anatomy, and Two Lefts bundled together plus some bonus tracks that were already available on the b-sides album) and a bonus track version of Collapsible Lung (the only bonus track is That’s My Jam, *shudder*) were recently made available on Apple Music/Spotify. Not sure it really means much, could just be a rights/label thing, but it does add credence to the fact that their activity certainly seems to be ramping up. Hoping for new music soon.
This intro... They seem to be incorporating bits of new music into older songs in these recent live sets, and I am so here for it. I haven't had this much hope for new music in such a long time.
Didn't Hoopes say recently on Instagram when mentioning his move back to Nashville something like "more RK to come!"? I feel like he did...
