I’m in the vast minority when I say this but I love the bass tone on that album, and the overall “sound” of the record- even tho the sound quality is pretty low compared to the rest of their records. Hope you can find a copy!
I like instinctively bought all the records as they came available and never listen to them (or any vinyl anymore tbh). Had no idea they were sough after haha. Need to go back through them, think I have doubles of some actually.
Relient K’s entire production career is vastly underrated. Some of the best-sounding pop punk albums transitioned into some excellent-sounding rock albums.
I listening to K Car now, what a fun silly song. I remember that was one of the first songs I learned on guitar. At one time or another I think I knew the majority of the S/T and Anatomy songs. I haven't listened to the hidden track on K Car in years, forgot how much that shreds lol Well this is turning into a full discography day, on to Anatomy next
I don’t see it that way, lol. The most “serious” one to me is FANSD and until CL I would have called Five Score their “poppy” album.
“So it was Jeremy in 1983…” It has officially been the same amount of time since Two Lefts came out as it had been since 1983 when it was released in 2003. Happy 20 years to one of the most important, formative albums of my life.
It’s a perfect pop-punk album. It could be argued that it’s not their best but it’s my favorite. If for some reason I had to choose only one RK album to remain in existence, I don’t think I’d have to think for very long before choosing Two Lefts.
Forget, And Not Slow Down is the best album in my eyes, but Mmhmm definitely takes the cake for elevating them.
It was a huge album for me. Anticipated it up to launch, went and bought it day one, played it nonstop for years. Anatomy and Two Lefts are so special for me and always will. But I think Two Lefts holds up way better.
Agree with what everyone has said, Two Lefts and Mmhmm were two of my most anticipated albums I remember in high school. That run from Anatomy to Mmhmm will always be a special time to look back on. And fans were sooo spoiled getting a new album and/or EP every year
Two Lefts is the album that sparked my love for music. I didn't get the album till after Mmhmm was released and I was 12 years old. Fun fact I got my dad to play the album on his own a couple times since I would always play it loud on my old stereo. I think that's the only music my dad ever liked from my collection lol.
I have only listened to Two Lefts. That and some of their covers album haha. Nabbed that restock of that Two Lefts vinyl.
